On Saturday afternoon, January 11, 1969 a meeting
was held for the purpose of considering the possibilities of
establishing a Christian Home for senior citizens in this district.
The Chairman read Psalm 92.
This can be called the very beginning of “South
Chatham Village.”
Slowly, but surely the idea of establishing such a home came closer to
reality until finally on June 20, 1980 Phase I was officially opened
with a total of 33 apartments.
